Stephen F. Lucey

Steve Lucey has been practicing law in California since 1981. Steve's law career has been dedicated to the defense of health care providers in professional liability claims and litigation. Before becoming a lawyer Steve had careers as a paramedic in San Mateo County, as a police officer in Berkeley, California, and the Medical Malpractice Claims Supervisor for Argonaut Insurance Company.

Steve began his career as an attorney with Craddick, Candland and Conti, Danville, Ca. He next practiced with Anderson, Galloway and Lucchese, Walnut Creek, Ca., a firm in which he became a partner. In 1995 Steve became the senior and founding partner in Lucey, Watkins and Lamson, Walnut Creek, Ca. specializing in medical malpractice defense. He has been Of Counsel at Ouim Reyen & Pryor since 2006.

Steve graduated from Golden Gate University, School of Law in 1989. His undergraduate studies at San Francisco State University were in pre-medicine. Steve's rich and varied background has served him well in his trial practice. He is a busy and successful litigator, having tried over 30 cases to verdict.
